In his 22 years’ of entrepreneurial experience, Vikas has co-founded start-ups in areas of Telecom Software, Real Estate and Manufacturing. As the former Director & Joint Managing Director of Bengal NRI (BNRI), Vikas drove one of Eastern India’s largest township projects; with a targeted revenue of over S$600 Mil, over 9 million sq feet of luxury residences across 65 acres. Vikas is also a founding member of the Singapore Fintech Association’s Marketplace Lending Committee, where as Co-Chair he is actively involved in industry development and is a key advocate of industry best practices and standards. Vikas graduated from Wharton (Class of ’98), and currently also serves on various Advisory Boards, including the Board of Directors for Centre for Fathering-Dads for Life, a not-for-profit organisation in Singapore.

Bringing over 13 years of Private Equity and Corporate Finance experience across Southeast Asia, Nikhilesh’s expertise includes debt and equity financing across diverse sectors, as well as portfolio management and value creation at SME companies. He founded the M&A Advisory practice at Taipan Partners, focusing on consumer and tech sector deals across South East Asia. Prior to Validus, he led M&A deals for Masan Group and developed key experience in portfolio management and capital raising for various companies as an Investment Manager at Avigo Capital Partners. At Validus, Nikhilesh runs the overall business operations and has played a key role in driving successful fundraising rounds, as well as forged strategic partnerships with key industry partners such as Visa and Temasek Holdings’ Vertex Ventures. He is a regular speaker at Fintech and SME conferences, sharing insights in Alternative Lending, Small Business Financing and Peer to Peer Platforms
CEO, Validus Singapore
An SME banking veteran with over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Jayanta previously held key positions in DBS, Bank Danamon, and Citibank, and has strong experience in SME banking, across areas including business development, credit, risk, and collections. Jayanta joined Validus in 2017, where he has been in various roles, providing strategic and functional leadership across Sales, Risk and Compliance, and Collections. He currently serves as Chief Operations Officer overseeing Validus Singapore’s day-to-day operations, driving greater efficiency and ensuring stronger strategic execution across the Singapore office. Jayanta holds a postgraduate diploma in Business Management from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) and a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from Jadavpur University.
